SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION
Speed control inhibited or disabled
  • Power or ground supply to adaptive cruise control module
  • Steering wheel speed control switch/circuits
  • Throttle sensors
  • Brake switch
  • ABS fault
  • Speed control sensor obstructed
  • DADC 
  • Check for Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) that could be caused by power or ground failure to the module and refer to DTC  index
  • Check for sticking, jammed and broken speed control switches. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check speed control switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
  • Check for engine throttle position sensor Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to the relevant DTC  index
  • Check for correct installation and adjustment of brake switch. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check brake switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
  • Check ABS system for related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to the relevant DTC  index
  • Make sure there is no snow, ice or other obstruction on the trim panel in front of the speed control radar. Adaptive cruise control will not engage until the radar has detected valid target(s)
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the DADC  for any CCM  related Diagnostic Trouble Codes and refer to the relevant DTC  index
Unable to regulate/adjust vehicle speed
  • Steering wheel switch malfunction
  • Check for sticking, jammed and broken speed control switches. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check speed control switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
Unable to cancel speed control from steering wheel
  • Steering wheel switch malfunction
  • Check for sticking, jammed and broken speed control switches. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check speed control switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
Unable to cancel speed control from brake pedal
  • Brake switch malfunction
  • Check for correct installation and adjustment of brake switch. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check brake switch circuits for short, open circuit, high resistance
