Starter Motor (G2796642): Installation

NOTE: Note the position of the cable.

- Install the cable to the starter motor.
- Tighten the nut.
  Torque : 7 Nm
NOTE: Note the different lengths of the bolts.

- Install the starter motor as illustrated.
- Install and tighten the 2 starter motor bolts.
  Torque : 48 Nm

- Install the starter motor bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
  Torque : 47 Nm

- Reposition the breather pipe assembly to the starter motor.
- Connect the 2 breather pipe connectors.
- Secure the breather pipe clip.

Connect the starter motor electrical connector.

- Connect the positive cable to the starter motor.
- Install and tighten the nut.
  Torque : 12 Nm
- Reposition the positive cable shield to the original position as illustrated.

- Install the heatshield to the starter motor.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque : 6 Nm
Install the transmission undershield.

Install the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
Connect the 12 V system.
