Right Fuel Injectors (G2867294): Installation

Install new fuel injector O-ring seals to the 4 fuel injectors.

Renew Part: Fuel Injector replacement kits Quantity: 4 .

Using the special tool, install the new Teflon™ seals on the lower tips of the fuel injectors.

Using the special tool, re-shape the Teflon™ seal as illustrated.

Install the 4 new fuel injector spring clamp.

Renew Part: Fuel injector clamp(s) Quantity: 4 .

Install the 4 new fuel injectors.
CAUTION: If a new cylinder head has been installed then the special tool 310-200-02 without the thread must be used to install the fuel rail.

Install the special tool.

Special Tool(s): 310-200-01 , 310-200-02
CAUTION:
- If new fuel injectors are installed, a new injector clamp must be installed.
- Make sure that the fuel injector is aligned and installed into the fuel rail correctly, as noted in the removal step.

- Do not fully tighten the bolts at this stage.
- Lubricate the fuel injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
- Install the fuel rail.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts a half turn at a time until the correct torque is achieved.
  Torque : 20 Nm

Remove the special tool.

Remove the Special Tool(s): 310-200-01 , 310-200-02

Install and tighten the 2 bolts in the illustrated sequence.

Torque : 20 Nm

- Install the 4 ignition coils.
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
  Torque : 8 Nm

- Reposition the engine wiring harness in the correct location.
- Secure the 5 clips.
- Connect the 9 electrical connectors.
- Install and tighten the nut.
  Torque : 6.2 Nm

- Install a new HP fuel pump outlet pipe assembly to the stud on the valve cover.
  Renew Part: Fuel rail supply pipe(s) Quantity: 1 .
- Connect the 3 fuel line unions.
- Tighten the 3 fuel line unions.
  Torque : 20 Nm
- Install and tighten the M6 bolt.
  Torque : 11.5 Nm
- Install and tighten the M8 bolt.
  Torque : 26 Nm
- Install and tighten the nut.
  Torque : 6 Nm

- Install the heatshield.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque
  
  M10: 29 Nm
  
  M6: 11.5 Nm

- Reposition the wiring harness in the correct location.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Secure the 4 wiring harness clips as illustrated.

Install the engine mount bracket.

Install and tighten the 4 engine mount bracket bolts.

Torque

Stage 1: 45 Nm

Stage 2: 60°

Remove the engine support.

General Equipment: Transmission jack

Install and tighten the engine mount nut.

Torque : 180 Nm

- Reposition and secure the ground cable to the original position.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 9 Nm

- Install the idler pulley bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
  Torque : 25 Nm

- Connect the steering column shaft as illustrated.
- Install and tighten a new steering column lower shaft lower bolt.
  Renew Part: Steering column lower shaft lower bolt Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque : 30 Nm

- Reposition the wiring harness to the original position.
- Secure the clip.

- Connect and finger tighten the 2 fuel crossover line unions as illustrated.
- Install and tighten the 4 fuel crossover line bracket bolts in the sequence illustrated.
  Torque
  
  M6: 12 Nm
- Tighten the 2 fuel crossover line unions in the sequence illustrated.
  Torque : 20 Nm

- Reposition the wiring harness to the original position.
- Connect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Secure the 2 clips.

- Reposition the breather pipe to the original position.
- Connect the breather pipe connector.
- Secure the clip.

- Remove the oil filler cap.
- Install the left coil cover as illustrated.
- Secure the 2 upper clips.
- Secure the 2 lower studs.
- Install the oil filler cap.

- Connect the 2 fuel line connectors.
- Secure the 2 fuel lines to the left coil cover.
- Secure the 2 fuel line clips.

- Install the left differential pressure sensor assembly.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 9 Nm
- Install and tighten the 2 nuts.
  Torque : 9 Nm
- Connect the hose.
- Install the clamp.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Secure the clip.

- Install the right coil cover as illustrated.
- Secure the 4 lower clips.
- Secure the stud.

- Reposition the vacuum pipe to the original position.
- Secure the vacuum pipe to the right coil cover.

- Install the right differential pressure sensor assembly.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 9 Nm
- Connect the hose.
- Install the clamp.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Secure the clip.

- Secure the cable bracket assembly to the original position.
- Install and tighten the 2 nuts.
  Torque : 9 Nm

- Reposition the coolant pipe assembly to the original position.
- Install the coolant pipe assembly as illustrated.
- Connect the 5 coolant pipe connectors.
- Secure the 2 clips.
Install the air cleaner outlet pipe T-connector.
Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR
Install the generator.
Refer to: GENERATOR
Fill the engine with the correct amount of engine coolant.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
Connect the 12 V system.
