Electric Throttle (G2811112): Removal

CAUTION:
- Do not attempt to clean the electric throttle bore, build up of deposits reduces air leakage past the throttle plate at the fully closed position.
- Take extra care when removing electric throttle, failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the Manifold Absolute Pressure and Temperature sensor (MAPT).
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations with components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Disconnect the 12V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Partially drain the engine cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe T-connector.
Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 2 engine coolant hoses from the engine coolant outlet pipe.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the engine coolant outlet pipe.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Disconnect the coolant pipe from the electric throttle.
- Remove the electric throttle.
Remove and discard the electric throttle seal.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the engine coolant pipe from the electric throttle.
