Electrical power for the charge air coolant pump is supplied from the charge air coolant pump relay in the EJB . The charge air coolant pump relay is energized continuously in power mode 6 (ignition on). The PCM operates the charge air coolant pump with PWM signals. Intensity of the charge air coolant pump operation depends on the charge air temperature sensor signals.
When the charge air coolant pump is running, warm engine coolant flows from the charge air coolers through the charge air coolant pump inlet connection to the charge air radiator. Then the engine coolant loses heat in the charge air radiator and returns to the charge air coolers.
