Right Valve Cover (G2796550): Removal

CAUTION:
Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle with a 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the supercharger.
Refer to: SUPERCHARGER
- Remove the right air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: RIGHT AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE
- Remove the right fuel injectors.
Refer to: FUEL INJECTORS
- Remove the cover.
- Remove the nut.
- Disconnect and release the cable.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Release the 2 cables and position to one side.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
- Disconnect the coolant hose connector.
- Position the coolant hose away from the engine.
- Disconnect the coolant hose connector.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the coolant pipe assembly.
- Disconnect the part load breather pipe connector.
- Remove the part load breather pipe.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Release the wiring harness and reposition away from the right valve cover.
- Remove the nut.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Release the wiring harness and reposition away from the right valve cover.
Release the wiring harness and reposition away from the right valve cover as illustrated.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damage to the mating surfaces.
- Loosen the 18 valve cover bolts.
- Remove the right valve cover.
- Remove and discard the right valve cover gasket.
- Remove and discard the 4 spark plug boss seals.
