Oil Pump (G2796546): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    • Install the oil supply pipe.
    • Install the oil pickup pipe.
    • Install 3 new O-ring seals.

      Renew Part: Oil pick up pipe O-ring seal Quantity: 1  .

      Renew Part: Oil pump inlet tube O-ring seal(s) Quantity: 2  .

    • Install 2 new O-ring seals.

      Renew Part: Oil pump wiring harness O-ring seal Quantity: 2  .

    • Install the oil pump.
    • Install and tighten the 3 oil pump bolts.

      Torque  : 25 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the 3 oil supply pipe bolts.

      Torque  : 11.5 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the 2 oil pickup pipe bolts.

      Torque  : 11.5 Nm 

    • Install the electrical connector.
    • Install and tighten a new bolt.

      Renew Part: Oil pump connector bolt Quantity: 1  .

      Torque  : 11.5 Nm 

    • Connect the electrical connector.
    • Install the oil pump drive sprocket.
    • Install the special tool.

      Special Tool(s): 205-053 

    • Install and tighten the new bolt.

      Renew Part: Oil pump gear bolt Quantity: 1  .

      Torque  : 21 Nm

    Install the lower timing chain making sure the coloured chain links align correctly with the High Pressure (HP) fuel pump camshaft and crankshaft sprocket markings.

  2. CAUTION: Make sure that the tensioner spring is located against the cylinder block.
    NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to the noted removal position.
    • Install the lower timing chain tensioner.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 21 Nm 

  3. Install the oil pan.

    Refer to: OIL PAN 

  4. Connect the 12V system.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
