Left Valve Cover (G2796549): Removal

WARNING:
Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle with a 2 post lift.

- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the supercharger.
Refer to: SUPERCHARGER
- Remove the left air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: LEFT AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE
- Remove the left fuel injectors.
Refer to: FUEL INJECTORS
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the bracket.
- Reposition the Emergency Park Release (EPR) cable away from the left valve cover.

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the Low Pressure (LP) fuel line from the 2 clips.
- Reposition the LP fuel line away from the left valve cover.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Release the wiring harness.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Release the wiring harness and reposition away from the left valve cover.
Release the wiring harness and reposition away from the left valve cover as illustrated.
- Disconnect the full load breather pipe connector.
- Remove the full load breather pipe.
Loosen the 18 valve cover bolts.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damage to the mating surfaces.
Remove the valve cover as illustrated.
- Remove and discard the left valve cover gasket.
- Remove and discard the 4 spark plug boss seals.
