Left Engine Mount (G2796558): Removal

The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Recover the Air Conditioning (A/C) system.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING
- Remove the exhaust system.
Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM
- Remove the front driveshaft.
Refer to: FRONT DRIVESHAFT
- Remove the 3 trim panel fasteners.
- Remove the trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
Left hand drive vehicles

CAUTION: Align the steering to the straight ahead position. Do not allow the steering wheel to rotate when the steering column is disconnected.
- Remove and discard the steering column lower shaft lower bolt.
- Reposition the steering column shaft.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Remove the 2 A/C pipe nuts.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the A/C pipes and reposition away from the engine mount.
Remove and discard the 4 O-ring seals.

NOTE: If equipped.
- Release the 3 block heater wiring harness clips.
- Position the block heater wiring harness away from the engine mount.
- Remove the bolt.
- Position the transmission oil cooler pipes away from the engine mount.
Use the special tool to remove the engine mount nut.
Special Tool(s): JLR-211-347

CAUTION: Use a wooden block to protect the oil pan when supporting the engine.
Use a suitable hydraulic jack to support the engine.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
Remove the 4 engine mount bolts.
- Remove the 4 engine mount bracket bolts.
- Reposition the engine mount bracket.
Remove the left engine mount.
