Left Engine Mount (G2796558): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

   Install the left engine mount.

   Install and finger tighten the 4 engine mount bolts.

   • Reposition the engine mount bracket to the original position.
   • Install and tighten the 4 engine mount bracket bolts.

     Torque 

     Stage 1: 45 Nm 

     Stage 2: 60°

   Tighten the 4 engine mount bolts in the sequence illustrated.

   Torque  : 32 Nm

   Remove the engine support.

   General Equipment: Transmission jack

   • Install the engine mount nut.
   • Use the special tool to tighten the engine mount nut.

     Special Tool(s): JLR-211-347 

     Torque  : 180 Nm

   • Reposition the transmission oil cooler pipes to the original position.
   • Install and tighten the bolt.

     Torque  : 9 Nm 

8. NOTE: If equipped.

   • Reposition the block heater wiring harness to the original position.
   • Secure the 3 block heater wiring harness clips.

   • Install 4 new O-ring seals.

     Renew Part: Air conditioning pipe to compressor O-ring seal(s) Quantity: 4  .

    • Reposition the A/C  pipes to the original position.
    • Connect the A/C  pipes to the A/C  compressor.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 25 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the 2 A/C  pipe nuts.

      Torque  : 18 Nm 

The following step(s) applies to: 

Left hand drive vehicles

   • Install the steering column shaft.
   • Install and tighten a new steering column lower shaft lower bolt.

     Renew Part: Steering column lower shaft lower bolt Quantity: 1  .

     Torque  : 30 Nm 

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

   • Install the trim panel.
   • Install the 3 trim panel fasteners.
2. Install the front driveshaft.

   Refer to: FRONT DRIVESHAFT

3. Install the exhaust system.

   Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM

4. Charge the A/C  system.

   Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING

5. Connect the 12 V system.

   Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
