Variable Flow Oil Pump With Integral Vacuum Pump (G2340141): Removal

Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
NOTE:

- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Remove the oil pan extension.
Refer to: OIL PAN EXTENSION
- Remove the oil pump drive chain.
Refer to: OIL PUMP DRIVE CHAIN
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the variable flow oil pump with integral vacuum pump inlet pipe.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the crankcase.
- Release the wiring harness from the 4 clips.

CAUTION: Care must be taken when handling the component. Do not place on a surface with the seal faced down. Failure to follow this instruction may damage the component.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the variable flow oil pump with integral vacuum pump.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Release the wiring harness from the 2 clips.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the wiring harness.
