Upper Timing Cover (G2344504): Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that all traces of the old sealant are removed from the mating surfaces.

Apply an 8mm bead of RTV sealant to the mating face at the locations shown in the illustration.

- Install the new upper timing cover gasket.
  Renew Part: Upper timing chain cover gasket Quantity: 1 .
- Install the upper timing cover.
- Install and tighten the 13 bolts in the sequence illustrated.
  Torque : 13 Nm
Install the 2 VCT solenoids.

Connect the 12 V system.
