Oil Pan (G2344502): Removal

Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Drain the engine oil.
Refer to: ENGINE OIL VACUUM DRAINING AND FILLING
- Remove the front right halfshaft.
Refer to: FRONT RIGHT HALFSHAFT
- Remove the 3 clips.
- Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
- Use a powertrain jack to support the differential.
General Equipment: Powertrain Jack
- Remove the differential lower bolt.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the differential sleeve.
Remove the 12 bolts.
Loosen, but do not fully remove the 2 bolts.
Use a suitable tool to lever the oil pan away from the engine at the points illustrated.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove and discard the oil pan.
