Left Engine Mount (G2344509): Removal

NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Remove the hood.
Refer to: HOOD
- Remove the secondary bulkhead center panel.
- Remove the 2 fasteners.
- Remove the heatshield.
Disconnect the 3 breather pipes.
- Install the special tools.
Install the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1676
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque : 20 Nm
- Install the special tools.
- Install the special tools.
Install the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1713
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque : 20 Nm
- Install the special tools.
- Install the 2 engine compartment braces as illustrated.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque : 20 Nm
Install the engine support beam and the engine support adapter as illustrated.
Install the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1692 , JLR-303-1692-04
- Remove the engine undershield.

- Remove the front left wheel arch liner.
Refer to: FRONT WHEEL ARCH LINER
The following step(s) applies to:
Left-hand drive vehicles
- Remove and discard the bolt.
- Reposition the steering column shaft.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
Release the bleed pipe clip.
- Remove the ground bolt.
- Remove the 3 nuts.
- Reposition the Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) cables away from the bracket.
- Release the 2 coolant hose clips.
- Reposition the coolant hose away from the bracket.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the MHEV cable bracket.
- Remove the nut and bolt.
- Release the clip.
- Reposition the coolant pipe and bracket assembly away from the engine mount.
Remove the engine mount nut.

NOTE: Engine mount bracket shown removed to provide extra clarity.
Remove the 4 engine mount bolts.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.
- Use the special tool JLR-303-1692 to lift the engine assembly 30 mm.
- Remove the engine mount.
