Left Engine Mount (G2344509): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

1. • Install the engine mount.
   • Install and tighten the 4 engine mount bolts.

     Torque  : 32 Nm 

2. CAUTION: Make sure the engine mount guide pin in the correct position on both side.

   Use the special tool JLR-303-1692 to lower the engine until the engine brackets rests on the engine mounts.

3. Install and tighten the engine mount nut.

   Torque  : 124 Nm 

4. • Reposition the coolant pipe and bracket assembly into the correct location.
   • Install and tighten the bolt and nut.

     Torque  : 12 Nm 

   • Install the clip.
5. • Install the MHEV  cable bracket.
   • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

     Torque  : 9 Nm 

6. • Reposition the coolant hose into the correct location.
   • Install the 2 coolant hose clips.
7. • Reposition the MHEV  cables into the correct location.
   • Install and tighten the 3 nuts.

     Torque  : 9 Nm 

   • Install and tighten the ground bolt.

     Torque  : 9 Nm 

8. Install the bleed pipe clip.

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   Left-hand drive vehicles 

9. • Reposition the steering column shaft.
   • Install and tighten a new steering column lower shaft lower bolt.

     Renew Part: Lower steering column to steering gear bolts Quantity: 1  .

     Torque  : 30 Nm 

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   All vehicles

    Remove the engine support beam and the engine support adapter.

    Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1692  , JLR-303-1692-04

    • Remove the 2 bolts.
    • Remove the 2 engine compartment braces.

    • Remove the 4 bolts.
    • Remove the special tools.

      Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1713

    • Remove the 4 bolts.
    • Remove the special tool.

      Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1676

    Connect the breather pipes.

    • Install the heatshield.
    • Install the 2 clips.
16. Install the secondary bulkhead center panel.

17. Install the hood.

    Refer to: HOOD

18. Install the front left wheel arch liner.

    Refer to: FRONT WHEEL ARCH LINER

19. Install the engine undershield.
