Engine Front Cover (G2327455): Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

- Apply a 3 mm diameter bead of sealant, to the area shown.
  Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS
- Thicker sealant bead width is required where the cylinder block mates with the oil pan as illustrated.

- Install the special tool as illustrated.
  Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1672
- Install the new engine front cover.
  Renew Part: Engine front cover Quantity: 1 .

- Install and tighten the 4 bolts as illustrated.
  Torque : 12 Nm
- Install and tighten the remaining bolts in a diagonal sequence.
  Torque : 12 Nm
Remove the special tool.
Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1672
Install the crankshaft pulley.
Refer to: CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
