Right Camshaft Position Sensor (G2796675): Removal

CAUTION:
The ignition must be set to the OFF position before completing the following procedure.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Partially drain the engine cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe t-connector.
Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR
- Release the clamp.
- Remove the clean air duct.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
- Release the 3 clamps.
- Disconnect the coolant lower hose from the coolant hose assembly.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 coolant pipes from both sides of the charge air cooler.
- Remove the coolant hose assembly.

NOTE: Illustration shows the exhaust Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP).
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the CMP .
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the CMP .

NOTE: Illustration shows the intake CMP .
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the CMP .
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the CMP .
