Logging Strategy
- Fan is free to rotate
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check datalogger signal
- Electric Fan PWM Control - Commanded (0x03F9)
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check electronic viscous engine cooling fan circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Check electronic viscous engine cooling fan for
- Seizure
- Mechanical failure
- Install new electronic viscous engine cooling fan, only when diagnosed as failed
