Transmission Control Switch
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The TCS is installed in the top of the floor console. The TCS is secured with 4 screws and has 1 electrical connector for all electrical inputs and outputs.
Move of the TCS to any of the 5 positions outputs a signal to the BCM /GWM . The BCM /GWM senses the signals through the HS CAN Underbody (UN) systems bus. The BCM /GWM uses the Flexray systems bus to send the signal to the TCM through the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) and reacts according to the selected TCS position. The TCS uses Hall effect sensors to determine the position of the switch.
