Fuel Tank - 110 (G2796785): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. NOTE: Steps 1-4 are only required if previously removed.
    • Install the LP  fuel pump assembly.
    • Connect the fuel line to the LP  fuel pump assembly.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
    • Install a new LP  fuel pump assembly O-ring seal.

      Renew Part: Fuel pump O-ring seal Quantity: 1  .

    • Reposition the LP  fuel pump assembly in the correct position.
    • Use the special tool to install and tighten the LP  fuel pump assembly retaining ring.

      Special Tool(s): 310-123 

    • Install the fuel tank to the heatshield.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

    • Install the fuel line to the fuel tank at the 4 clips.
    • Connect the fuel line to the LP  fuel pump assembly.
  2. WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
    • Use the transmission jack to install the fuel tank.

      General Equipment: Transmission jack 

    • Install the fuel tank rear center bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 7 bolts.

      Torque  : 48 Nm 

    • Install the fuel filler hose to the fuel tank.
    • Install and tighten the clamp.

      Torque  : 3.5 Nm 

    • Install the 2 rear brackets.
    • Install and tighten the 7 nuts.

      Torque  : 48 Nm 

    • Install the 2 undershield brackets.
    • Install and tighten the 6 bolts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

  3. Connect the fuel line.
  4. Install the rear driveshaft.

    Refer to: REAR DRIVESHAFT

  5. Fill the fuel tank.

    Refer to: FUEL TANK DRAINING

  6. Connect the 12V system.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  7. Bleed the fuel system.

    Refer to: LOW-PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM BLEEDING
