Fuel Charging And Controls - V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol (G2796610): Overview

The fuel charging and controls system is a gasoline direct injection system controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The fuel charging and controls system consists of:
- LP and HP fuel lines.
- 2 HP fuel pumps.
- 2 fuel rails and a crossover tube.
- A FRPT sensor.
- 8 fuel injectors.
LP fuel from the pump in the fuel tank is pressurized by the HP fuel pumps and supplied to the fuel injectors through the fuel rails and crossover tube. The PCM controls the fuel injectors and HP fuel pumps to inject the required volume of fuel into the combustion chambers.
