Viscous Cooling Fan (G2798406): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. NOTE:
    • The thread is left handed.
    • Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.

    Use the 2 special tools, install the viscous cooling fan.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1142  , 303-1143 

    Torque  : 65 Nm 

    • Install the electrical connector to the viscous cooling fan shroud.
    • Install the closing panel.
    • Install the cooling fan upper shroud.
    • Install the clip.
    • Install the fastener.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the viscous cooling fan.
  5. Install the coolant hose clip.
    • Install the right clean air duct.
    • Tighten the clamp.

      Torque  : 3.5 Nm 

  7. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe t-connector.

    Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR

  8. Connect the 12V system.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
