The active grille air shutter is installed behind the front bumper. The active grille air shutter incorporates moveable vanes that control the air flow into the upstream main air duct.
The active grille air shutter has 2 electric motors. The motors have power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relay in the Engine Junction Box (EJB). The PCM controls the motors through a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) bus. The vanes are connected through the vane link. When the active grille motor drives the active grille link, all vanes move in unison.
