Right Exhaust Manifold (G2796543): Removal

NOTE:

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Disconnect the 12V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the exhaust system.
Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM
- Remove the accessory drive belt.
Refer to: ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector heatshield.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the HO2S .
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley.
- Remove the banjo bolt.
- Disconnect the pipe clamp.
- Remove differential pressure sensor pipe.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the right exhaust manifold heatshield.
- Use the special tool to remove and discard the 8 bolts.
Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1652
- Remove the 8 spacers.
- Remove the right exhaust manifold.
- Use the special tool to remove and discard the 8 bolts.
Remove and discard the right exhaust manifold gasket.

NOTE:
- Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Left side shown, right side similar.
Use the special tool to remove the HO2S from the exhaust manifold.
