Oil Pump (G2796546): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
Disconnect the 12V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Set the crankshaft to 45° ATDC Cylinder 1A.
Remove the oil pan.
Refer to: OIL PAN
NOTE: Note the installed position of the component(s) prior to removal.

- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the lower timing chain tensioner.

- Install the special tool.
  Special Tool(s): 205-053
- Remove and discard the bolt.
- Remove the oil pump drive sprocket.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the bolt.

- Remove the 2 oil pickup pipe bolts.
- Remove the 3 oil supply pipe bolts.
- Remove the 3 oil pump bolts.
- Remove the oil pump.
- Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.
NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

- Remove the oil pickup pipe.
- Remove the oil supply pipe.
- Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.
