Fuel Pump Camshaft Timing Adjustment (G2796532): Check

NOTE:

Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
Check the fuel pump camshaft timing.
Refer to: FUEL PUMP CAMSHAFT TIMING CHECK
Remove the lower timing cover.
Refer to: LOWER TIMING COVER
CAUTION:
- Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
- Inspect the 3 timing chain oil nozzles for signs of damage, install as necessary.

Inspect the 3 timing chain oil nozzles.
CAUTION: Use a suitable tie strap, position the tensioner to one side.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1621

Torque : 12 Nm
Install the lower timing cover.
Refer to: LOWER TIMING COVER
CAUTION: Install the new seal.

- Install the vacuum pump.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque : 12 Nm

Remove the special tool.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1304
Connect the 12 V system.
