Rear Silencer (G2409712): Removal

Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
CAUTION:
Make sure the exhaust system is supported at all times.
NOTE:

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Remove and discard the exhaust clamp.
- Remove the 4 exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts.
- Release the rear silencer from the 2 exhaust hanger bracket mounting rubbers.
- Remove the rear exhaust section.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Use a suitable tool to cut and remove the rear silencer in the marked position as illustrated.
