Exhaust System - INGENIUM I6 3.0L Petrol (G2344651): Removal

WARNING:
Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
CAUTION:
Make sure the exhaust system is supported at all times.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- Remove the engine cover.
Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL
- Remove the secondary bulkhead center panel.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the hose.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Remove the transmission undershield.
Refer to: TRANSMISSION UNDERSHIELD
- Release the clip.
- Remove and reposition the hose.
Remove and discard the 3 nuts.
Release and reposition the noise, vibration and harshness material as illustrated.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the clip.
Remove the 2 bolts.

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Remove the 4 exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts.
- Release the rear silencer from the 2 exhaust hanger bracket mounting rubbers.
- With the aid of another technician, remove the exhaust system.
- Remove and discard the exhaust system to catalytic converter gasket.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the 2 exhaust hanger mounting brackets from the exhaust system.
Use the special tool to remove the post catalyst heated oxygen sensor.
