Exhaust System - INGENIUM I6 3.0L Petrol (G2344651): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

CAUTION:
- If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new sensor.
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
NOTE: Steps 1-2 are only required if previously removed.

Use the special tool to install and tighten the post catalyst heated oxygen sensor.

Special Tool(s): JLR-309-004

Torque : 48 Nm
Install the 2 exhaust hanger mounting brackets to the exhaust system.
WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Install the new gasket.
  Renew Part: Catalytic converter to gasoline particulate filter gasket Quantity: 1 .
- With the aid of another technician, install the exhaust system.
- Install and tighten the 4 exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts.
  Torque : 27.5 Nm
- Install the rear silencer into the 2 exhaust hanger bracket mounting rubbers.
Install and tighten the 2 gasoline particulate filter bracket bolts.
Torque : 25 Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the wiring harness into the clip.
Install the noise, vibration and harshness material into the correct location.
Install and tighten the 3 nuts.
Renew Part: Catalytic converter to gasoline particulate filter nuts Quantity: 3 .

Torque : 25 Nm
- Install the hose.
- Install the clip.
Remove the transmission undershield.
Refer to: TRANSMISSION UNDERSHIELD
- Install the hose.
- Install the 2 clips.
Install the secondary bulkhead center panel.

Install the engine cover.
