PHEV Battery Coolant Expansion Tank (G2769925): Removal

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:

  1. WARNING: Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Electric Vehicle Competent Person (EVCP) trained technicians only.

    This procedure involves work on components associated with the High Voltage (HV) system. Only technicians qualified to EVCP  level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure. It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle Safety Rules.

  2. Drain the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Battery cooling system.

    Refer to: PHEV BATTERY COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING

    Disconnect the coolant expansion tank overflow pipe.

    Disconnect the 2 coolant hoses.

    • Remove the nut.
    • Remove the PHEV  battery coolant expansion tank.
