Thermostat Housing (G1998228): Removal

NOTE:

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the engine cover.
Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV .
- Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) pad.

CAUTION:
- Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
- Mark the position of the components prior to removal.
Release the coolant hoses.
Remove the coolant outlet hose from the thermostat housing.
Remove the coolant bypass hose from the thermostat housing.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the thermostat housing.
