Fuel Level Sensors - Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles Only
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
There are 2 fuel level sensors used to measure the amount of fuel, remaining in the left and right sides of the fuel tank. There are 2 fuel level sensors installed in the fuel tank. The fuel level sensor 'A' and fuel level sensor 'B' are attached to the fuel tank internal brackets on each side of the fuel tank. Both sensors are connected to the vehicle wiring harness through the external electrical connector on the LP fuel pump assembly top flange assembly.
The fuel level sensor signals are converted into CAN bus messages by the BCM /GWM and used by the IPC for fuel gauge and fuel warning indicator operation. Also monitored by the PCM to store DTC for misfire detection when the fuel level is below a predetermined capacity.
