The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) stores each fault as a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). The DTC and associated environmental and freeze frame data can be read using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.

The JLR approved diagnostic equipment can be also read:

• Real time data from each sensor.
• The adaption values currently being employed.
• The current fueling settings.
• The current ignition settings.
• The current idle speed settings.

The freeze frame data can vary depending on the fault.

Core freeze frame data for every DTC includes:

• Power mode
• Time
• Distance
• Startup battery voltage.
