Accessory Drive - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol/INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol - PHEV (G2743732): Overview

On non-Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) the accessory drive provides power from the crankshaft by the crankshaft pulley through the accessory drive belt to drive front mounted accessories such as:

On PHEV  the accessory drive provides power from the crankshaft by the crankshaft pulley through the engine coolant pump drive belt to drive the engine coolant pump.

The 12V BISG  does not operate as a generator in this configuration, this is used as a starter motor on the PHEV  . The BISG  is connected to the crankshaft pulley by a BISG  drive belt.

The drive belt must be at the correct tension to make sure the torque is transmitted without slip.
