Engine Coolant Temperature Sensors

An Engine Cooling Temperature (ECT) sensor is installed in the heater manifold and below the thermostat housing.
The ECT sensor is a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) resistor that allows the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to monitor the engine coolant temperature.
