Oil Pump (G2244091): Removal

CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Remove the oil pan.
Refer to: OIL PAN .
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the guide.
- Using a suitable tool lock the oil pump sprocket in the position illustrated.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the oil pump drive sprocket.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the pipe.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the electrical connector.
Examine the 2 O-ring seals for damage.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Remove the oil pump assembly as illustrated.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
