Left Exhaust Manifold (G2263554): Removal

NOTE:

- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Remove the left catalytic converter.
Refer to: LEFT CATALYTIC CONVERTER .
- Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL (G2811903) .
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the hose clamp.
- Remove and discard the Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) pipe.
- Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the left exhaust manifold heatshield.

NOTE: Note the installed position of the component(s) are prior to removal.
- Remove the 8 bolts.
- Remove the 8 spacers.
- Remove the left exhaust manifold.
- Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket.
- Install the special tool.
Special Tool(s): 310-121
- Remove the HO2S.
- Install the special tool.
