Right Catalytic Converter (G2272666): Removal

NOTE:

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Remove the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD .
- Remove the front silencer.
Refer to: FRONT SILENCER .
- Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the 2 clips.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the heatshield.
- Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the clip.

WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
Remove and discard the 2 catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts.
- Remove the right catalytic converter.

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
- If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new sensor.
NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.Using the special tool remove the H02S sensors.
