Electric Cooling Fan And Shroud (G2749592): Removal
WARNING:
Make sure the engine cooling system is cool prior to doing this procedure.
CAUTION:
Engine coolant will damage the paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the coolant and clean the area with water.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

- Disconnect the 12V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Partially drain the engine cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
- Remove the radiator grille.
Refer to: RADIATOR GRILLE
- Release the 2 dirty air ducts at the 6 clips.
- Remove the air deflector.
- Release the 7 clips.
- Remove the 2 dirty air ducts.

NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the cooling module upper mounting bracket.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 3 coolant pipe connectors.
- Release the 4 pipe clips.
- Remove the breather pipe.
- Remove the 8 bolts.
- Remove the radiator 2 upper mounting brackets.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.

NOTE: Vehicles with right auxiliary radiator.
Release the 3 coolant hose clips.
- Disconnect the coolant hose connector.
- Release the 7 coolant hose clips.
Remove the electric cooling fan and shroud.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Release the electrical connector clip.
- Remove the wiring harness.
