Coolant Pump - Charge Air Cooler (G2523588): Removal
CAUTION:
Engine coolant will damage the paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the coolant and clean the area with water.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

- Partially drain the engine cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the front bumper.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the coolant hose.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disconnect the coolant hose.
- Remove the charge air cooler coolant pump.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Remove the charge air cooler coolant pump from the bracket.
- Inspect the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material, replace if damaged.
