Roll Away Detection

The roll away detection function is used in order to make sure that parking is safe, even in the following worst case conditions:

• Undetected actuator efficiency loss
• Extreme low friction between pads and disc due to mud or water contamination.

If the initial brake torque proves insufficient to hold the vehicle stationary:

• When the EPB  is applied.
• While the system remains awake for a duration of 10 minutes.
