Brake Caliper - Vehicles With: 324 Mm Brake Disc (G2782927): Installation

WARNING: If the brake caliper chamber dust boot is damaged, a new brake caliper must be installed.
Examine the brake caliper dust boots for damage.
- NOTE: Only complete the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Electric park brake actuator fitting kit Quantity: 1 .
- Install the EPB actuator to the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 new bolts.
Torque : 10 Nm
- Install a new O-ring seal.
- Install the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 brake caliper slide pins.
Torque : 28 Nm
- Install the 2 brake caliper dust covers.
- CAUTION: Make sure that a new flexible brake hose assembly is to be installed.
- Install the 2 new seals to the new brake hose bolt as illustrated.
Renew Part: Brake caliper hose Quantity: 1 .
- Connect the new brake hose to the brake caliper and tighten the new brake hose bolt.
Torque : 35 Nm
- Install the 2 new seals to the new brake hose bolt as illustrated.

CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and is correctly located.
- Install the brake hose to the bracket.
- Connect the brake pipe and tighten the nut.
Torque : 15 Nm
- Install the brake hose clip.
- Reposition the rear wheel arch liner in the correct location.
- Install the new push on steel clip.
Renew Part: Clip - push on steel Quantity: 1 .
- Install and tighten the 2 screws.
Torque : 2 Nm

NOTE: The brake pad wear sensor is only installed on the right side brake caliper.
- Install the brake pad sensor to the brake pad.
- Reposition the wiring harness in the correct location.
- Install the grommet to the bracket.
- Install the brake caliper anti-rattle spring.
- Bleed the brake system.

- Install the wheel and tire.

NOTE: This step is only required if the JLR diagnostic equipment is not available.
Disable the EPB maintenance mode.
Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION

- Use the JLR
approved diagnostic equipment to calibrate the EPB
.
General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
- Use the JLR
approved diagnostic equipment to deactivate the Integrated Power Brake assembly mode.

- Use the JLR
approved diagnostic equipment to calibrate the EPB
.
- Use the JLR
approved diagnostic equipment to complete the Leakage and Air Monitoring test to the Integrated Power Brake.
