Tire Pressure Sensor Investigation

When the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning indicator illuminates in the Instrument Cluster (IC), ask the customer if the following additional accessories are in the vehicle:

• USB chargers
• Insurance cameras
• Direct Current to Direct Current (DC/DC) converters
• Cool boxes
• Satellite navigation
• Radar detectors.

If yes, ask the customer to remove the items, and check if the TPMS warning indicator does not illuminate in the IC.

If the tire pressure sensor is not detected, then ask the customer where the tire pressure sensor was purchased. If the tire pressure sensor is in ship mode, it needs to be put into park mode with a low frequency TPMS tool. This claim is not covered by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) warranty, this is not a manufacturing defect.
