Tire Pressure Monitoring System (G2299753): Operation: Diagnostics

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System Control Module (TPMSCM) records any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and related data. Read the DTCs and related data with the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment. The JLR approved diagnostic equipment can read live data and activate certain components.

Additionally, an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) routine within the TPMSCM constantly monitors the system and alerts the driver to system faults. At 25% deflation (20% for European Union (EU) markets) below the recommended target pressure:

• The amber warning indicator in the Instrument Cluster (IC) is illuminated.
• An appropriate message is displayed in the information and message center.

When the system detects a malfunction, the warning indicator flashes for 75 seconds and then remains illuminated continuously.
