Low Pressure Fuel Pump Assembly (G2767447): Removal
WARNING:
Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- Always follow the fuel system health and safety precautions when doing any repairs to the fuel system.

- Release the fuel system pressure.
Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
- Drain the fuel tank.
Refer to: FUEL TANK DRAINING .
Release the second row seat cushion.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the second row seat cushion.
- Remove the 4 nuts.
- Remove the fuel pump access cover.

NOTE: To release the quick-fit connections, gently pull the steel band secondary latch (1) to the out position, as indicated by arrow. Then press together the plastic primary latch tangs (2), as indicated, while pulling the pipe up and the off the spigot.
Disconnect the 2 fuel pipes.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

- Release the fuel vapor pipe bracket.
- Reposition the fuel vapor pipe.
Use the special tool 310-123 to release the fuel pump retaining ring.
Special Tool(s): 310-123
Note the position of the fuel pump module before removal.
Release the fuel pump module.
- Disconnect the 2 fuel pipes.
- Release the fuel vapor pipe.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the fuel pump module.
Remove and discard the fuel pump module seal.
When installing a new fuel pump module, if there is a blue dot on the old fuel pump module, the new fuel pump module must be marked with the blue dot.
