Crankshaft Rear Seal (G2110219): Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.

Install the first part of the special tool.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1674A
CAUTION: If the crankshaft rear seal (1) is removed from the provided spacer (2) prior to installation, a new seal must be installed.

- Install the crankshaft rear seal (1) and the provided spacer (2) to the special tool.
  Renew Part: Crankshaft rear seal Quantity: 1 .
- Position the crankshaft rear seal (1) in the correct location.
- Remove and discard the spacer (2).

- Install the second part of the special tool.
  Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1674A
- Install and tighten the bolt.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the special tools.
Install the drive plate.
Refer to: DRIVE PLATE .
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
