Crankshaft Front Seal - Vehicles With: MHEV (G2298799): Removal

NOTE:

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Refer to: CRANKSHAFT PULLEY - VEHICLES WITH: MHEV .

- Install the special tool.
  Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1628
- Rotate the special tool 35 degrees in a counter clockwise direction.
- Use the special tool to remove the crankshaft front seal.
- Discard the crankshaft front seal.
