Fuel Tank And Lines - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol (G2298629): Overview
The fuel system provides the engine with sufficient fuel for all operating conditions. The fuel system consists of Low Pressure (LP) fuel system and High Pressure (HP) fuel system.
The HP fuel system is described in 'Fuel Charging and Controls'.
For additional information, Refer to: FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL (G2298601)
The engine emission control system is described in 'Engine Emission Control'.
For additional information, Refer to: ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM .
The LP fuel system features the following components:
- Fuel tank
- Fuel pump module
- Fuel level sensor 'A'
- Fuel level sensor 'B'
- Low fuel pressure sensor
- Fuel delivery line
- Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM)
- Flex Fuel Sensor (FFS) - If equipped
- Flex fuel filter - If equipped.
Depending on model specification, the Flex Fuel Vehicle (FFV) incorporates the Flex Fuel Sensor (FFS) and flex fuel filter. Flex fuel is a fuel mixture of ethanol and petrol. Ethanol is an alcohol that can be used as a fuel. Ethanol is added to the petrol, the ethanol proportion can be between 5% and 85%. E100 is a fuel with 93% ethanol and 7% water, without petrol.
