Catalytic Converter (G2340230): Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    • If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new sensor.
    • Make sure the anti-seize compound does not contact the tip of the sensor.
    NOTE: Only complete this step if previously removed.

    Use the special tool to install the 3 HO2S  to the positions noted in the removal step.

    Torque  : 48 Nm 

    • Install the catalytic converter.
    • Install the catalytic converter upper bracket.
    • Install, but do not fully tighten the 3 catalytic converter upper bolts.
  3. Install, but do not fully tighten the 3 catalytic converter lower bolts.
    • Connect the HO2S  sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness into the 4 clips.
    • Install the HO2S  wiring harness bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 3 exhaust downpipe nuts.

      Renew Part: Exhaust downpipe nuts Quantity: 3 . 

  6. Install the turbocharger.

    Refer to: the appropriate Service Information.

  7. Install the powertrain lower support insulator.

    Refer to: POWERTRAIN LOWER SUPPORT INSULATOR .
