Main Wiring Harness (G2312650): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

1. Install the main wiring harness.

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only 

2. • Connect the 3 rear subframe wiring harness electrical connectors.
   • Connect the charging socket electrical connector.
   • Connect the DMTL  pump link harness electrical connector.
   • Install the 11 wiring harness clips.

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   All vehicles 

3. • If equipped, connect the evaporative emission canister electrical connector.
   • Connect the 3 rear subframe wiring harness electrical connectors.
   • Install the 9 wiring harness clips.
4. • Connect the left BSM  sensor electrical connector.
   • Install the 8 wiring harness clips.
5. • If equipped, connect the right BSM  sensor electrical connector.
   • If equipped, connect the DEF  tank wiring harness electrical connector.
   • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
6. Connect the 5 wiring harness clips at the rear right wheelhouse.
7. • Connect the fuel flap release motor electrical connector.
   • If equipped, connect the FPDM  electrical connector.
   • Install the 10 wiring harness clips.
8. • Install the wiring harness grommet at the right C-pillar.
   • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
9. • Connect the 2 PAM  electrical connectors.
   • If equipped, connect the DEF  heater control unit electrical connector.
   • Install and tighten the 2 ground cable bolts.

     Torque  : 9 Nm 

   • Install the 10 wiring harness clips.
10. • Connect the 3 GNSS  signal splitter electrical connectors.
    • Connect the 7 TCU  electrical connectors.
    • Install the 7 wiring harness clips.
11. • Reposition the right second row seatbelt retractor and bracket assembly.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 40 Nm 

12. • Install the FFBH  telestart receiver module.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

13. • Install the 5 wiring harness clips to the right second row seatbelt retractor bracket.
    • Connect the right second row seatbelt retractor electrical connector.
    • If equipped, connect the 2 television antenna amplifier electrical connectors.
    • Connect the 2 FFBH  telestart receiver module electrical connectors.
14. • Connect the tailgate wiring harness electrical connector.
    • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
15. • Connect the 4 roof pod electrical connectors.
    • Install the 5 wiring harness clips.
16. • Connect the tailgate wiring harness electrical connector.
    • Connect the RF  filter electrical connector.
    • Install the 5 wiring harness clips.
17. • Connect the PEPS  system antenna electrical connector at the second row seat backrest.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
18. • Connect the PEPS  system antenna electrical connector at the tailgate striker.
    • Connect the illuminated treadplate link harness electrical connector.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only 

19. • Install the electric booster heater relay bracket.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

20. • Connect the 4 SUMB  electrical connectors.
    • Connect the RFA  electrical connector.
    • Connect the RF  interference suppressor electrical connector.
    • Connect the towbar link harness electrical connector.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
21. Install the loadspace stowage compartment.
22. Install the right loadspace insulator foam.
23. • If equipped, connect the deployable towbar speaker electrical connector.
    • Install the left loadspace insulator foam.
24. Install the wiring harness bracket at the rear left fixed window.
25. • Connect the 5 Rear Junction Box (RJB) electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the 3 ground cable bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the RJB cable nut.

      Torque  : 8 Nm 

    • Connect the 2 tailgate link harness electrical connectors.
26. • Reposition the left second row seatbelt retractor and bracket assembly.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 40 Nm 

27. • Connect the left second row seatbelt retractor electrical connector.
    • Install the 6 wiring harness clips to the left second row seatbelt retractor bracket.
    • If equipped, connect the 2 television antenna amplifier electrical connectors.
28. • Connect the left C-pillar impact sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
29. • Connect the 3 second row seatbelt buckle electrical connectors.
    • Connect the 2 second row seat backrest heater element electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 6 wiring harness clips.
30. NOTE: If equipped.
    • Connect the FFBH  fuel pump electrical connector.
    • Connect the particulate matter sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the SCR  system NOx sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 9 wiring harness clips.
31. • Connect the fuel tank link harness grommet.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the wiring harness clip.
32. NOTE:

    • This step must be done on both sides of the vehicle.
    • Right side shown, left side similar.
    • Install the rear treadplate bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the nut.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
33. NOTE:

    • This step must be done on both sides of the vehicle.
    • Left side shown, right side similar.
    • Connect the B-pillar side impact sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the 2 front row seatbelt retractor electrical connectors.
    • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
34. • Connect the left roof blind motor electrical connector.
    • Connect the left side air curtain electrical connector.
    • Install the 7 wiring harness clips.
35. • Connect the right roof blind motor electrical connector.
    • Connect the right side air curtain electrical connector.
    • Install the 7 wiring harness clips.
36. • Install the 4 wiring harness clips in the area of the right A-pillar.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the wiring harness bracket.
37. • Install door wiring harness connector to the right A-pillar.
    • Install the wiring harness grommet.
38. • Install the wiring harness grommet.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

39. Reposition the NVH  material in the area of the VQM  module.
40. • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Install the Passenger Junction Box (PJB) and Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM) bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 3 nuts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

41. • Install the BCM/GWM.
    • Install the PJB.
    • Install and tighten the 5 nuts.

      Torque  : 8 Nm 

42. • Connect the 3 VQM  module electrical connectors.
    • Connect the 6 BCM/GWM electrical connectors.
    • Connect the 6 PJB electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the PJB cable nut.

      Torque  : 8 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 11 wiring harness clips.
43. Install the main wiring harness center bracket.
44. • Connect the 8 IMC  electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 11 wiring harness clips.
45. • Install the AAM  .
    • Connect the 4 electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

46. • Install the rear right footwell air duct bracket.
    • Install the 4 clips.
    • Install the 2 front seat wiring harness clips.
47. • Install the front right treadplate bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

48. • Connect the RCM  electrical connector.
    • Install the 5 wiring harness clips.
49. NOTE: If equipped.
    • Connect the 2 electric booster heater electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the 2 ground cable bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the wiring harness clip.
50. • Install the floor console center bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

51. • Connect the subwoofer electrical connector.
    • Connect the 6 GPSM  electrical connectors.
    • Connect the MHEV  battery link harness electrical connector.
    • Install the 15 wiring harness clips.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only 

52. • Connect the 3 PHEV  battery link harness electrical connectors.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

53. • Install the OMM  .
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 8 Nm 

    • Connect the electrical connector.
54. • Install the rear left footwell air duct bracket.
    • Install the 4 clips.
55. Install the underfloor air ducts.
56. • Install the 2 floor console air ducts.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the wiring harness clip.
57. Install the 4 wiring harness clips under the front left treadplate bracket.
58. • Install the wiring harness bracket at the front left treadplate.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
59. • Install the front left treadplate bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

60. • Install door wiring harness connector to the left A-pillar.
    • Install the wiring harness grommet.
61. • Connect the electrical connectors to the pedal assemblies.
    • Install the wiring harness grommet.
    • Install and tighten the 2 ground cable bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 8 wiring harness clips.
62. Reposition the NVH  material to the bulkhead in the area of the pedal assemblies.
63. • Install the 4 wiring harness clips in the area of the left A-pillar.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

64. NOTE: This step must be done on both sides of the vehicle.

    Connect both rear door wiring harness electrical connectors.

65. NOTE: This step must be done on both sides of the vehicle.

    Install the rear door wiring harness grommets.

66. NOTE: This step must be done on both sides of the vehicle.

    Install both front door wiring harness electrical connectors.

67. • Connect the hood switch electrical connector.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

68. Install the 4 wiring harness clips in the area of the A/C  system service connections.
69. • Connect the front left impact sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the upper active grille electrical connector.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only 

70. • Connect the BBM  electrical connector.
    • Connect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
71. • Connect the coolant changeover valve electrical connector.
    • Connect the 2 auxiliary coolant pump electrical connectors.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
72. • Connect the high voltage coolant heater electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

73. • Connect the ABS  electrical connector.
    • Connect the cooling fan link harness electrical connector.
    • Install and tighten the 4 ground cable bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 9 wiring harness clips.
74. • Install the startup battery tray support.
    • Install and tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the 2 coolant hoses.
    • Install the brake booster vacuum pipe.
    • Install the engine wiring harness grommet to the startup battery tray support.
75. • Connect the left Pedestrian Protection System (PPSCM) actuator link harness electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness bracket.
    • Install the 8 wiring harness clips.
    • Install the front left bulkhead wiring harness grommet.
76. • Install the 2 wiring harness grommets to the front bulkhead.
    • Install and tighten the 2 PCM  ground cable bolts.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Connect the A/C  pressure sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the FFBH  auxiliary coolant pump electrical connector.
    • Connect the PCM  cooling fan electrical connector.
    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors at the brake booster.
    • If equipped, connect the clutch pedal position sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
    • Install the 2 hose clips.
77. • Connect the right PPSCM actuator link harness electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness bracket.
    • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
78. Install the wiring harness bracket at the hood hinge.
79. • Connect the PPSCM airbag electrical connector.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
    • Install the wiring harness bracket.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only 

80. • Connect the PHEV  battery cooler link harness electrical connector.
    • Connect the PHEV  battery cooler isolation solenoid electrical connector.
    • Connect the electric auxiliary coolant pump electrical connector.
    • Connect the radiator lower coolant hose temperature sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

81. • Connect the radiator lower coolant hose temperature sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the hose clip.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
82. • Connect the BBUS  electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Install and tighten the ground cable bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

83. • Connect the front right Adaptive Damping (AD) link harness electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness grommet in the area of the front right wheelhouse.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
84. • Connect the front right height sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the right pedestrian impact sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the electric drive coolant pump electrical connector.
    • Connect the front right wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 12 wiring harness clips.
85. • Connect the 2 horn electrical connectors.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness grommets.
86. • Connect the 2 power steering link harness electrical connectors.
    • Connect the FFBH  auxiliary coolant pump electrical connector.
87. • Connect the lower active grille electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only 

88. • Connect the exterior sound synthesizer sounder electrical connector.
    • Connect the electric auxiliary coolant pump electrical connector.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

89. • Connect the front left height sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 6 wiring harness clips.
90. • Connect the left pedestrian impact sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors at the front left wheelhouse.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
91. NOTE: If equipped.
    • Connect the glow plug control module electrical connector.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
92. Install the rear floor carpets.

93. Install the front left floor carpet.

94. Install the instrument panel cross-car beam.
